Campus and Corporate as one medium

When a student is in last year of college itself, they start thinking of the future job prospects in the outside world. They give each and every effort to clear their exams with flying colors so that they get a good job due to their academic achievements.

Campus Recruiters are in the look out of such candidates who have exceptional ability in their own field. But as most of them are academically inclined, it is hard to fill up the vacant post of given number of positions because the number of applications are generally always higher than needed.

So Campus recruiters also have another task in hand to find the best suitable candidates for them in a given vacant job position. The other candidates can apply for other vacant job fields in the same organization as organizations have multiple openings when they come to recruit in the college campus.

The corporates coming for campus recruitment see that a good candidate should not get out of their hands as an employee. Whereas, the candidate thinks of a good corporates should not be let off lightly without giving it a try.

Salary package, work culture, long term advantage in promotions, all these are some of the issues that are looked by prospective candidates. Campus recruitment provides a platform for candidates to find their future job and never to run after looking for jobs. Thus it saves candidates from stress of unemployment.

The organization’s time and money is also saved as it does not have to advertise on job portals and other newspaper media when campus recruitment serves the purpose for them. Also the thorough background investigation is limited for corporates as the college in which the candidate studies might be through a background check by college authorities. So here too, time taken for interview is limited and selection process is very fast.

Many of the colleges these days have industry oriented courses in their syllabus. So it is natural that when the recruiters come to hire candidates in a college campus, the campus placement officer helps them in making links. Along with that, the desired faculty members are in the know how too as who are the good candidates for a given job vacancy because they have taught the future candidates throughout candidate’s academic period in a college. Thus it saves time for recruiters to have their importance only on selected candidates and short listing becomes a minimum issue for them.
